PSLE: Car Park Robbery

“Oh no! We are running late!”  Phyllis muttered with lined frowns creasing her forehead.

“Quick!  The wedding is going to start,” Mike kept hurrying at her.

Mike and Phyllis were at a car park, rushing for a wedding dinner.  They decked themselves like Christmas trees.  Mike was dressed in branded apparel and a diamond-studded Rolex watch while Phyllis, caked with heavy make-up, was glittering with diamonds from head to toe.

As they hurried to their BMW, the car park was unusually quiet.  There was no one in sight.  Their footsteps echoed throughout the car park.
Out of the blue, three burly men, wearing balaclavas appeared from nowhere and circled them.  In their hands were huge cricket bats and a knife.

The fattest one lashed out, “Surrender all your money and valuables now!  Or else, you will be deadmeat!”

The couple’s mouths were agape in shock.  They were quivering in fear, trying to register all that was happening.
The lanky man then rushed forward and pressed the blade against Phyllis’ throat.

“Stop wasting our time!  Give us the valuables NOW!” he yelled.

Phyllis started dropping her precious diamond ring and necklace into the robber’s black canvas bag, sobbing to herself.

While looking at Phyllis crying, Mike’s heart ached and he was seized with explosive rage.  He was a karate black belt!  He sprang into action and started his karate moves.  With a few powerful kicks and heavy punches, he subdued the useless robbers in a jiffy.  By then, one robber ended up unconscious and the other two were badly wounded, writhing on the ground in intense pain.  Mike then used the robbers’ belts to tie them up.

Phyllis then dug out the jewellery from the bag and worn them.  She kicked the robbers with her stilettos and stepped on their stomachs.

“Ouch!” moaned the robbers.

“Serve you right!” hissed Phyllis with a satisfied grin.

“Call the police!” Mike ordered.  Immediately, Phyllis obeyed and gave the details to the police.   The police arrived in a flash, took down the couple’s statements and brought the villains to the police station.  Mike and Phyllis then went to the wedding, knowing that justice had finally been served to the crooks.
