Writing Tips: Describe characters using adjectives

Friendly
The friendly girl shook hands amicably with the new student and soon they became fast friends.

Courageous
The courageous commandoes stomped into the enemy's barracks and rescued the hostages.

Composed
Even though the bomb would explode within seconds, the bomb squad remained composed to defuse the explosives.

Meticulous
He checked his answers meticulously to ensure that there was no mistakes made.

Compassionate
The kind woman showed compassion to the blind beggar by giving him all the money in her wallet and all her coins as well.

Rowdy
The rowdy boy was misbehaving and got into a confrontation with the teacher.

Obstinate
The obstinate girl refused to apologise for her rudeness despite repeated warnings.

Passive
When the principal gave her an earful, the girl wore a passive expression and stared at him blankly.

Critical
The parents were very critical of the school and planned to withdraw her.

Rebellious
The rebellious boys had their black hair dyed luminous green and their arms bore tattoos of hideous-looking skulls.
