A nanny in Malaysia sold a 12-day-old female infant that was under her care, but later returned the baby girl after she was overwhelmed with guilt.

She took the infant away while the family was not alert, and attempted to sell the infant for RM 8,000 (S$3,440), reported Shin Min Daily.
The nanny, known only as Helen, was a member of an infant-trafficking group. She was hired by the infant's family after being recommended on Facebook,
She confessed her actions to the infant's family after she had handed the baby over to the buyer, and with the help of the police, the baby was located and retrieved within eight hours.
The police also arrested three suspects involved in the same case.
