Tip: How to write a better ending to any narratives

Many students have asked me how to write a good ending to their stories. Most narrative writers fail to give their stories a fine ending. Most of them are cliches. "I learnt a lesson" and "we went home happily" are just some of the common examples.

Let me share with you one of the secrets of writing well. In order to bring satisfaction to a reader, the story written can be written to come in one full circle. To do so, the writer can use a particularly strong imagery to end the story that has already appeared at the start or the middle of the story.

For example, in the above video clip, the director repeatedly weaved the idea of "more rice, more rice" at both the start and the end of the clip. The change was that instead of the mother saying it to the son, it was now the son's turn to say it to the mother.

This video clip shows a change in the way the same imagery is used. This is a beautiful example of how to use a powerful repeated imagery to start and end the narrative.

Try this technique. Your ending will definitely become more unique and stands out more compared to other writers. Have fun in your writing journey!
